November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) come and use the library as a productive space to get creative. We have set aside the reading room on the second floor as our official NaNoWriMo Come Write In space. We'll have some great resources and tips for writers looking to participate in NaNoWriMo all month long!
The 2nd Annual Page One Writing Contest is open for submissions! Is this the year you take on National Novel Writing Month? Maybe you only have an idea for a story, or perhaps you're working on your 10th novel. We don't care if you just started writing or just finished the thing, we want your first page! Winners receive a $100 Maria's gift certificate, and their work will be aired on the Page One radio program!
