Highway 172 repaving to delay access to Durango- La Plata County Airport

Travelers using the Durango-La Plata County Airport are advised that State Highway 172 is expected to be repaved beginning Monday, July 24. Please plan on an extra 30 minutes of travel time to DRO.

The project will span 16.7 miles from Elmore’s Corner to Ignacio. Pavement work will begin east of the airport near County Road 309 and pavement will be laid from north to south.
