Personal Trainers at the Durango Community Recreation Center

All personal trainers are fully certified professionals with extensive backgrounds in the fitness industry. Each has their own specialization and patrons are encouraged to view their individual information displayed in the fitness area.  Prices vary by trainer.  Below is a list of the contract trainers and a brief description of their services:

Lynn BeckLynn Beck


As an AFAA Certified Trainer with 30+ years of experience, Lynn’s philosophy on Living Better is to work hard and eat right. Simple in theory, but everyday life (and excuses) often get in the way.  Lynn works together with clients to promote an encouraging and fun environment, and motivates with creative, well-rounded, and educational programs for results that will last a lifetime. Colton GlascoColton Glasco


Colton is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He grew up playing competitive basketball and has always had a strong passion for fitness. He believes in a multifaceted approach to achieving fitness goals through diet, exercise, and a healthy mindset. Sue GrahamSue Graham


Sue has pursued her passion to be a Wellness Coach, Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer since 1990. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Texas and long standing certifications with ACSM and ACE.  Her nurturing and supportive sessions are perfect for those who are new to the Recreation Center or may have other limitations.  Contact Sue here.

Rob GrahamRobert Graham


Robert has a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and has been a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor since 1988. He enjoys ultra-endurance sports and has hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, Appalachian Trail and Colorado Trail. “He has an ability to make me find the motivation from within, which made me look forward to our sessions each week.” –Wayne Smith, CMU faculty.  Contact Robert here.

Jackie EllisJackie King


Jackie is a Certified Mat Pilates Instructor, an AFAA Personal Fitness Trainer and RevMaster Instructor. She brings mind-body and breath together in a very precise controlled symphony of movement. The results are full body strength, improved posture, breathing, and a strong ability to be more capable in all of activities of life with less chance of injuries. Mike Martin - webMike Martin


Mike is ACE certified and incorporates traditional weight training with stability ball work as well as variable resistance.  Mike works to develop a workout program that builds strength, balance, and lean body mass with focus on safety and the needs of each individual. Contact Mike here

Terri Oliger


Terri is a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Group Fitness Instructor. She focuses on functional fitness and incorporates HIIT training within her workouts. She will develop a program specific to a client’s needs. Terri was voted Durango’s Best Personal Trainer for 2014. DonalDonald Poindexterd Poindexter  


Donald is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Certified Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist and Golf Fitness Specialist as well as a Licensed Massage Therapist. His approach to fitness emphasizes age-appropriate programming with a specific focus on stability, strength and flexibility.
