Durango Parks and Recreation organizes and hosts an assortment of Community Special Events for all ages and varying interests. Upcoming Parks and Recreation Special Events:
Durango Film Registration Information:
This form should be used by organizations, individuals or businesses looking to film in the Durango area. Please fill out the Film Registration form to the best of your ability and send it to the Community Events Supervisor at the Durango Community Recreation Center (2700 Main Ave., Durango, CO 81301) or to Ellen Babers. Upon submission, the Community Events Supervisor will examine the provided information and forward the form to the necessary agencies. Any necessary permits will be the responsibility of the filming entity to obtain. The Purpose of this form is to solicit information from entities that would like to film in the Durango area and it does not constitute a permit.

At the Durango Welcome Center, there is a window dedicated to community events. The Business Improvement District manages window advertisements and provides this service for free. Email Tim Walsworth or contact him at 970-375-5067 for more information.
