Airport Passenger Traffic Continues Record Growth

 

Durango, CO – The Durango-La Plata County Airport continues its record growth in passenger traffic in contrast to the weak economy. 13,642 passengers boarded commercial airline flights at the Airport in May, a new record for the month and a 15%-percent increase from May 2009. 

 

“We continue to be surprised to see such large increases in traffic, expecially during May” said Ron Dent, Director of Aviation. “ 

Through the end of May, 58,935 passengers have departed or arrived on commercial airlines at the Durango-La Plata County Airport, a 16 percent increase year to date in 2009.
