Drought Management Plan Public Review Period

The City of Durango has been engaged in the development of a Drought Management Plan over the past year and is now making it available for public review and input. 

A brief fact sheet is also available to explain the basics of the plan.  

The plan review period will last for 60 days, closing on November 15th, 2019. Please provide any feedback you have through the Survey available here.

City of Durango Vulnerability, Consequences and Adaptation Planning Report (VCAPS)

The City of Durango VCAPS Report is the result of a planning effort to raise awareness, understanding of impacts and identify options challenges the City will face in regard to drought and extreme precipitation which may be more likely in light of scientific uncertainty in ongoing climate and weather patterns.

The Utilities Department is committed to providing safe, clean drinking water that meets federal Safe Drinking Water Act standards. The following table shows results from the City's independent water quality sampling.

The City of Durango Water Treatment Plant compiles data regularly and has increased the monitoring at the entry-point to distribution for consumer confidence. The table below lists the test results of water the City of Durango customers are provided.
